St Aignan is a fantastic place from which to walk, whether you choose to follow the colour coded signs around the forests and lake or make you own way around, the routes can include the river, canal, lake and ancient woodlands.
Donkey treks and horse riding are available close by or you can hire a boat, pedalo or canoe to explore the lake.

Fishing is also popular in Brittany, the Blavet, which borders our garden at le Touldren is catagory 3 which signifies an abundance of  fish, including fantastic wild brown trout caught either with fly, spinner or bait. Lac de Guerlédan can also be fished and holds monster pike amongst the many other species. (Not in summer 2015!) A two week holiday permit can be bought from the bar in the village or from Pontivy, enabling you to fish the whole of the region for approx £20. We have a fantastic fishing shop in Pontivy run by very helpful people who are more than happy to spend some time showing you the best methods for the conditions to improve your sucess.
